Don McClure

CONFERENCE CHAIRMAN

Vice President Finance and Business Services at Encata Oil and Gas (USA) Inc.

 

Don McClure is Vice President Finance and Business Services of EnCana Oil and Gas (USA) Inc.  He joined EnCana Oil & Gas (USA) Inc. in October 2002.  Don was with PanCanadian Energy prior to the merger of PanCanadian Energy and Alberta Energy in April 2002, forming EnCana.

 

Don has been in the oil and gas industry for more than 30 years, since his graduation from Northwestern Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.  Don is a licensed CPA and CMA and also has an MBA from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.

 

Don started his career with Atlantic Richfield, holding various positions of increasing responsibility focused primarily on controllership responsibilities.  Don also worked with Vastar Resources, Inc., a carve-out IPO from Atlantic Richfield and Columbia Energy Services, Inc.  Don is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Institute of Management Accountants, Financial Executives Institute and the API Upstream Committee.  Don serves as a Board Member for the University of Colorado at Denver, the Colorado Oil & Gas Association (COGA), the Independent Petroleum Association of Mountains States (IPAMS) and Junior Achievement.  He has currently been asked to participate on Governor Ritter’s Jobs Cabinet.

 

 

TIM FEEMSTER,

Senior Vice President/Director of Global Logistics

Over 35 years of experience have provided Timothy Feemster, Sr. VP, Director of Global

Logistics, with a variety of hands on problem solving situations in real estate, transportation,

logistics, distribution, and marketing.

 

Before joining Grubb & Ellis, Feemster was a senior manager in three manufacturing

companies, a general manager, a consultant, and an executive in two third party logistics

providers, most recently over 13 years with Menlo Worldwide Logistics. Feemster has been

responsible for building construction management, transportation & warehouse operations,

real estate site selection, strategic planning, lease management, marketing, inventory planning and deployment, lean systems & quality management, and private fleet management. Feemster holds an M.B.A. in Marketing from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and a B.A. in Mathematics from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. Feemster is anactive member in the Warehouse Education and Research Council (WERC.org), where he ison the Board of Directors as the current Vice President and will ascend to the position of President of the organization in 2009; Council Supply Chain Management Professionals(CSCMP.org); and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC.org).

 

Duncan Tungande

Chief Financial Officer, Tshumisano Trust, RSA

 

Duncan is currently the Chief Financial Officer of Tshumisano Trust, a wing of the Department of Science and Technology in South Africa designed to implement Science and Technology Programs.

Duncan worked for Delloitte as an Auditor and as a business advisor.  He has held several executive management positions in both the private and public sectors for firms such as Premier Food Industries, FreeState Development Corporation, Tsogo-Sun and the National Health Laboratory Services. Duncan also worked as an Executive Director for Karibu Facilities Management.

 

Prior to joining Tshumisano, Duncan was instrumental in many Corporate Governance, Mergers and Acquisitions and International business development initiatives. Duncan is currently pursuing a PhD and has been active in both business and academic forums.  His most recent presentation was at the May 2008 Global Management Information Technology Research Conference in Manhattan, New York.

Linda Doyle is a higher education professional.  She holds a bachelors degree in Communications with emphasis in both public relations and advertising from the University of Tulsa, and a Masters of Business Administration in Strategic Management Systems from Fordham Graduate Business.  Her industry and academic experience include event and conference planning in both domestic and international venues, researching and assembling advertising campaigns for global clients, writing for major oil companies, assessing and developing curriculum and new programs through state approval processes, evaluating and implementing best practices, managing faculty and student affairs, and promoting community theatre and shopping centers.

 

 

Dr. Yohan Sumaiku

Dr. Sumaiku, currently with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) holds a PhD in Mineral Economics from Colorado School of Mines.  He has a BS in Petroleum Engineering and a Masters Degree in Mineral Economics, also from Colorado School of Mines. He has fifteen years of experience in the oil and gas industry in various engineering and management positions focusing on petro physics, off shore drilling and production operations, reservoir engineering, field development economics. He also specializes in conducting environmental due diligence and impact assessment in coal, copper and gold mining and oil and gas operations. Some of the companies he has worked for include AATA International, Atwood Oceanics International, Inc, and IIAPCO-NATOMAS.

Dr. Luka Powanga is the Event Coordinator for the Global Commerce Forum.  He is the Editor of the Journal of Global Commerce Research and the Journal of Current Research in Global Business, in addition to contributing to various academic and trade Journals.  He is currently the US correspondent for CargoNews Asia a trade magazine aimed at the shipping and logistics industry, writing on the transportation infrastructure, logistics and cargo security. He has made presentations to various academic conferences and business summits such as the 2008 EXPO by the Longmont Chamber of Commerce, 3PL outsourcing and Logistics Summit and the RFID Conference by eyefortransport, including the E-Tag conference by the Georgia Ports Authority where he presented on the use of Radio Frequency Technology to enhance cargo security. 

 

In the academic world, Dr Powanga is a professor of International Business and Economics in the School of Management at Regis University, Denver, Colorado, USA.  He holds a BSC degree in Metallurgy and Mineral Processing, Masters and PhD degrees in Mineral Economics from Colorado School of Mines with a minor in Finance from the Graduate School at Denver University.  He also holds a Masters degree in Computer Information Technology and Graduate Level Certificate in Object Oriented Programming from Regis University.  His industry and academic experience spans over thirty years progressing to senior management levels.  He worked for the mining and telecommunications industries and consulted in international business prior to joining the academic world. He taught at Colorado School of Mines before transitioning to Regis University.  He has written a textbook in economics, published in many peer-reviewed Journals, and written a case study for Ivey School of Business.  His research interests include international energy and mineral development, security as it pertains to cargo and the transportation infrastructure, outsourcing and logistics, and innovative technologies such as Radio Frequency identification.
